Lay out your kitchen and see the price
Enter your wall lengths, place the sink, stove and fridge, and pick your doors and quartz. We lay out the cabinets wall to wall and price the cabinets, installation and countertop as you go.
01Shape
Start from an example Or pick the shape of your roomSizes you typed are kept; walls you haven't entered show example sizes. Sink, stove and fridge were placed for this shape: check the sizes and move them below if needed.
02Walls
Measure each wall corner to corner. A wall is the side of the kitchen that gets cabinets.
How to measure?
Measure along the wall at counter height, from corner to corner, or to where the cabinets have to stop (a door frame or an opening). Include the space for the fridge and stove. Round down to the nearest ½". Wall A is the one on your left as you face the corner; wall B continues from that corner.
03Sink, stove, fridge
SinkNo sink, stove or fridge on this run? Pick "None": a laundry room or a wall of storage works the same way.
Refine my project
Standard sizes are already filled in. Change them only if you know your appliances or your room.
Sink
Drawn with the bottom of the window 46" from the floor, 10" above the counter. A lower sill changes the backsplash and the faucet; mention it in the notes.
Measure standing in the room, facing the wall, from its left end: the left end in the drawing. We centre the sink over the pipes; without them, under the window.
Stove and hood
Fridge
This is the opening between the finished panels. A 36" fridge usually takes a 36" opening; check your model's installation guide for the exact opening, door swing and ventilation.
Cabinets
Easy reach: L-shaped corner with chrome trays. Blind corner: a cabinet that reaches into the corner, more counter on the other wall.
04Island or peninsula
05Door style
Door style Cabinet boxPlywood: stronger joints and better with moisture, the usual choice under a sink. Particle board: lower price, fine in dry areas.
Two colours, crown moulding
The pantry and the panels and cabinet around the fridge stay in the lower colour.
06Quartz countertop
BacksplashFull height: quartz from the counter up to the upper cabinets. 4": a short quartz strip, with tile or paint above. None: tile or paint from the counter up.
Sink16-gauge is thicker steel than 18-gauge: it dents less and is quieter. 2 cm quartz with a 1½" mitred edge. Sink cut-out and faucet hole included.

Kitchen Builder: common questions
How accurate is the Kitchen Builder price?
It is a preliminary estimate built from the wall sizes and choices you enter, with a range shown next to it. We check your layout and reply within one business day with a confirmed quotation. The final cabinet list and price are confirmed after we check the measurements, and you see them before anything is ordered.
What does the estimate include?
Cabinets with doors, end panels, fillers and toe kick, soft-close hinges and drawers, delivery and installation, the quartz countertop (with a full-height or 4-inch quartz backsplash if you choose one) and the sink. Handles, appliances, plumbing and electrical connections, removal of the old kitchen and work further than 40 km from Newmarket are not included.
How much does a new kitchen cost in Newmarket and the GTA?
It depends on the size, door style and stone. As an example, an L-shaped kitchen with 14-foot and 11-foot walls in Shaker White with plywood boxes, Designer quartz and a full-height quartz backsplash comes to about $23,400 + HST in the Kitchen Builder. Enter your own wall lengths to see your price.
How much is the quartz countertop?
Quartz is priced per square foot installed in three tiers: Essential $78, Designer $92 and Premium $118. The builder works out the square footage of the counter and backsplash from your layout and adds 10% for seams and cut-offs.
How do I measure my kitchen walls?
Measure each wall that gets cabinets from corner to corner, in inches, and pick your ceiling height. An inch or two either way does not change the price; we take the exact measurements once you decide to go ahead.
Do I need to visit the showroom or book an appointment first?
No. The estimate is emailed to you as a PDF right away from the sizes you enter. You are welcome to visit the showroom at 1111 Gorham St, Unit 1, Newmarket to see door and quartz samples (Mon to Fri 9 to 5, Sat 10 to 3).
Which door styles and cabinet boxes can I choose?
Shaker, slim shaker and double shaker painted doors, stained maple, wood veneer, flat matte, high gloss and woodgrain doors, on plywood or particle board boxes. Uppers and lowers can be two different colours.
What warranty comes with the kitchen?
Five years on the cabinets and two years on our workmanship for the countertop, plus the stone manufacturer's own warranty on the quartz.
Which areas do you serve?
Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Richmond Hill, Bradford, Georgina and the rest of York Region and the GTA. Work further than 40 km from Newmarket is quoted separately.
