What does a slab backsplash cost?
A full-height slab splash is quoted by the square foot at the same tier rate as a countertop in the material you pick — $78 to $118 per square foot installed in quartz, with porcelain and Dekton quoted per project (see our cost guide). A standard 4″ splash is a separate line, priced by the linear foot at $18. A backsplash covers far less area than a countertop, so adding one to a countertop order costs less than most people expect. Request a quote for a firm number on your wall.
What decides the final number?
Three things, checked before we fix the price: how your wall lays out on the slab, whether it needs an additional slab, and how complex the work is — openings for outlets and windows, exposed edges, seams, the condition of the wall, and how many visits the install takes. That is why the square-foot rate gives you the range and your measurements give you the price.
Can a slab backsplash be added to my existing countertops?
Yes — a slab splash can be installed on its own over your existing counters. It's a popular standalone upgrade, especially replacing dated tile. Send the wall's rough dimensions for your quote; we take precise measurements after the deposit, before fabrication.
How long does it take?
Next-day quote from your measurements. With a new countertop, the splash is fabricated and installed together with it; as a standalone project, installation is a single visit once fabrication is done.
